Welcome to Far Harbor
Far Harbor is a 18+ RPG that features loose stats, perks (and the ability to gain more) and a profile application. Don't worry if your knowledge of Fallout isn't extensive! Our docs cover the most important points and we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about the world.

On Far Harbor, we like to focus on the oddness of a post-apocalyptic future where technology is as diverse as having synthetic life and guns made of wood pailings. Ghouls, super mutants, humans and synths all have a place in The Island. If you're looking for a place to explore a world blasted by radiation

. . . welcome home
Feburary 2277
Super mutants have been discovered on The Island after a disasterous expedition to find somewhere for the ghouls to establish an indepedent settlement. Meanwhile, Far Harbor was attacked by anglers, injuring many and placing additional strain upon the town's only physician.

I have installed the new "Pipboy" theme! It introduces the ability to display what items your character commonly carries (change this in the UserCP). If you run into issues, be sure to PM Kit the Human.

We've also switched to profile applications! Pending Users can now edit all of their details. You can find out about the process here.

Failure was something that Copernicus had become accustomed to dealing with in his long life.  After the bombs fell, he sifted through the rubble of the new post apocalyptic world for over 200 years trying to eek out an existence and all he had gotten was failure.  Bandits, raiders, feral ghouls, mirelurks, and now super mutants... Copernicus did not like the odds he was playing up against in the game of life.  The chance for the ghouls to have something of their own, a settlement that was for them where they wouldn't have to be protected by someone else or slave away for someone else's caps had given the old ghoul hope.  In the aftermath of the failure and the casualties that they had sustained, Copernicus wasn't sure he had what it took in order to build anything again.

Copernicus had already ordered and downed several beers, but had now progressed to whiskey.  He wasn't overly fond of the hard stuff, but he needed something to deaden the lack of hope and alcohol was the perfect medicine.

It was a noisy evening in the Water Hole. Ghouls smelling like decomposing meat and sporting a community of flies drank and ate and played music. Blu added the stink of dead seaweed to the buffet of post-apocalyptic smells. She'd not imagined that the end of the world would be like this. She'd imagined raiders sure, but not creeping fogs with bio-luminescent ex-marine life. Nor had she imagined hulking green creatures clasping guns. The sentient zombies drinking hard liquor and building bars made from scrap was also a surprise.

Blu looked over the crowd and her gaze settled on Copernicus. He had left her behind for a human. She smiled at him and walked over with one hand in her pocket. Someone threw a dart at the board, missing her but still earning a red eyed stare. Blu sat across from Copernicus in a chat that creaked and pulled her hand out of her pocket. She had a small tin in her hand.

"You look like shit." She pushed the tin towards Copernicus. "Have a day tripper. It's my last one."

Copernicus looked up from his alcoholic stupor and saw the eyes of another ghoul, Blu. She was the last person that Copernicus wanted to see, not because he was afraid of her but because he was ashamed that he had roped her into his failure.

A weak smile formed at the corners of Copernicus' lips as he pushed the drug back towards Blu. "Apologies, I am aiming to get drunk." His voice was hoarse, as if he had yelled a considerable amount.

The ghoul took another swig of drink, choking it down. "How can I help you?"

"By eating your day tripper." Blu reached over the table and pressed her fingertips against the glass, aiming to force it down. She left behind fingerprints. Her focus was on Copernicus as the other ghouls celebrated another day of living, despite the odds. Despite the bombs. Content they were. Or grateful. But the contentment these things bred did not extend to Copernicus. Nor to Blu, but the source of discontent lay beneath the bomb shelter in their little house.

"My arm's better thank you." Blu added and her mouth twisted, the smile splitting along the usual lines where the decay was richer. "Do you think the shack would make a nice home?"
