Welcome to Far Harbor
Far Harbor is a 18+ RPG that features loose stats, perks (and the ability to gain more) and a profile application. Don't worry if your knowledge of Fallout isn't extensive! Our docs cover the most important points and we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about the world.

On Far Harbor, we like to focus on the oddness of a post-apocalyptic future where technology is as diverse as having synthetic life and guns made of wood pailings. Ghouls, super mutants, humans and synths all have a place in The Island. If you're looking for a place to explore a world blasted by radiation

. . . welcome home
Feburary 2277
Super mutants have been discovered on The Island after a disasterous expedition to find somewhere for the ghouls to establish an indepedent settlement. Meanwhile, Far Harbor was attacked by anglers, injuring many and placing additional strain upon the town's only physician.

I have installed the new "Pipboy" theme! It introduces the ability to display what items your character commonly carries (change this in the UserCP). If you run into issues, be sure to PM Kit the Human.

We've also switched to profile applications! Pending Users can now edit all of their details. You can find out about the process here.

We've relaxed out content rules! We're now rated, anything goes.

For a moment their jaw clenched. "I don't want yer pity." Joan said, despite the jerky they'd accepted earlier. "I do jus' fine on my own."

They really weren't, but the two men didn't need to know that.
He shrugged, feigning nonchalance. "I can't force you to do anything."
Zack grinned.

"I'm horrible left alone. I get sunburnt." His eyes were closed. Apparently, he wasn't going to get any more sleep.
They took another bite from the jerky, staring at the two men as they chewed. They seemed to be weighing their options for a moment before they finally spoke, though it was more of a mumble.

"Which settlement ya headin' for?"
"Quincy," he yawned. Connor patted his own cheeks briskly, trying to wake himself up. It was Zack's fault for laying there looking all comfortable and sleepy, really.

Changing tactics, he dug a piece of jerky out of the bag, gnawing on it to distract himself.
Quincy... Joan couldn't remember if they'd ever been there, but maybe that was a good thing? They could travel there, commit some burglaries and then get the hell out of dodge. Maybe they'd steal enough stuff to actually go through a day without that constant gnawing hunger.

They glanced at Connor, then chewed on their lip a bit, unaware of how much younger it made them seem.

"Alrigh', guess I can travel with ya there." Then added hastily. "Only cos it's more convenient, not cos I need the extra protection from a caravan."
Zack smiled from his place near Connor. A kid shouldn't be out in the world alone. There was safety to be found in numbers.
He yawned again, feinging disinterest. "Whatever floats your boat. You can have some of our food if you split the watches up with us. Sound fair?"

Selfishly, he realized he could maybe actually at least lay down next to Zack. Listening to make sure the kid didn't run off with their stuff.
"Yeah, tha' sounds fair." And it meant that the food didn't feel like charity.

A cold breeze passed by them, and they couldn't quite repress a shiver. Shouldering off their backpack they dug through it to find an old blanket, it was ratty and a bit moldy, but it was warm and that was what counted.
The ratty blanket broke Zack's heart. In his mind's eye, Zack saw Joan in a house with the ceiling missing but there was a table and walls. To keep warm, there was just the blanket, mottled white with mould. Beyond the imagined scene was knowledge. Ferals and super mutants and raiders. Gunners and mirelurks. Any number of creatures that wanted to bite down.

But a show of kindness or sympathy would probably frighten her off.

"Does this mean I get a cuddle?" Zack asked Connor. It sounded a bit like a demand.
