Welcome to Far Harbor
Far Harbor is a 18+ RPG that features loose stats, perks (and the ability to gain more) and a profile application. Don't worry if your knowledge of Fallout isn't extensive! Our docs cover the most important points and we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about the world.

On Far Harbor, we like to focus on the oddness of a post-apocalyptic future where technology is as diverse as having synthetic life and guns made of wood pailings. Ghouls, super mutants, humans and synths all have a place in The Island. If you're looking for a place to explore a world blasted by radiation

. . . welcome home
Feburary 2277
Super mutants have been discovered on The Island after a disasterous expedition to find somewhere for the ghouls to establish an indepedent settlement. Meanwhile, Far Harbor was attacked by anglers, injuring many and placing additional strain upon the town's only physician.

I have installed the new "Pipboy" theme! It introduces the ability to display what items your character commonly carries (change this in the UserCP). If you run into issues, be sure to PM Kit the Human.

We've also switched to profile applications! Pending Users can now edit all of their details. You can find out about the process here.

We've relaxed out content rules! We're now rated, anything goes.

Zack smiled at Connor and then returned his attention to Joan. Scrappy and probably wild. Used to cruelty, not kindness and so in a way, being overly kind was probably unwise. She'd probably see it as a threat or manipulation. So he tucked his hands behind his head and lowered himself backwards as the waist, his stomach muscles tense at the controlled fall.

"I was having a pleasant dream. You two woke me up."

They snatched the jerky, a lightening quick and sudden move, stuffing some of it into their mouth before they really had a chance to think twice. Hunger overtook caution, and it didn't really occur to them until they'd already started chewing that the meat might be drugged, or poisoned or something. But again, that wouldn't make sense, nothing to win on wasting food on that in a situation like this.

"Ahm no' a 'aide', dey a' cunkts." The words were almost incomprehensible as Joan spoke, mouth full of food. They swallowed it down. "An' nah, jus' wanderin'. Tryin' ta fond some good scavenge while not gettin' torn apart by ghouls." A half-lie, they weren't wandering as much as travelling a bit farther away from their little fortified apartment than usual. The scavenge and ghoul part was all true though. It was difficult to find good scavenge while not running into too many ghouls, places without them had been looted already for the most part.

Sealing up the bag, he pushed it away and rocked backward, poking Zack in the shin. "Go back to sleep, babe, your watch isn't for another two hours." He radiated easy affection for the other man, still looking content when Joan took his attention again.

"Good? You can camp with us tonight. Please don't steal anything from the main camp; we don't want trouble with them."

Joan watched the two men, taking in the obvious affection they held for each other. They tucked the knowledge away, always useful to know what levers to pull if things went south. Connor and Zack. They seemed nice enough, thought Joan thought they made little sense.

"That sounds good, thanks, yeah." Then they went back to devouring the jerky, food had been their main motivation for theft anyways.

Zack rubbed his shin, his pants rubbed back and forth over his leg. The camp was settling down and the promise of more sleep was tempting. It was a warm night and the sky was partly lit from a distant radstorm. The wind would carry it away from them however. He shifted around to lie onto his side and put his head against Connor's leg.

The comfort of the moment swept over him, making him smile gently at Joan and his eyelids droop.

"'S dangerous to travel alone y'know." Zack murmured.

"It is," Connor agreed, sifting his fingers through Zack's hair. She reminded him of Liz grown into a teenager, at least from what he remembered. They hadn't been back by the Aarons' place in a long time.

"You could probably tag along with us for a while, we're headed to a settlement."

That made their head jerk up, and Joan's eyes narrowed as they stared at the two men. Trying to puzzle out the reason for the offer. Finally they simply decided to ask.

"Why?"
#28
"Dangerous to travel alone," Zack repeated himself and then switched to a stage whisper.

"We're freaking him out Con. Say something mean."
#29
He snorted, brushing Zack's hair down into his face. "I dunno. No offense, but you seem kinda down on your luck. Sure, you could be an axe-murderer or something, but in case you're actually just a hungry kid, I wanna help. Build up some good karma or something."

Connor shrugged in lieu of letting himself ramble on.

"That wasn't very mean." Zack whispered.
