Welcome to Far Harbor
Far Harbor is a 18+ RPG that features loose stats, perks (and the ability to gain more) and a profile application. Don't worry if your knowledge of Fallout isn't extensive! Our docs cover the most important points and we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about the world.

On Far Harbor, we like to focus on the oddness of a post-apocalyptic future where technology is as diverse as having synthetic life and guns made of wood pailings. Ghouls, super mutants, humans and synths all have a place in The Island. If you're looking for a place to explore a world blasted by radiation

. . . welcome home
Feburary 2277
Super mutants have been discovered on The Island after a disasterous expedition to find somewhere for the ghouls to establish an indepedent settlement. Meanwhile, Far Harbor was attacked by anglers, injuring many and placing additional strain upon the town's only physician.

I have installed the new "Pipboy" theme! It introduces the ability to display what items your character commonly carries (change this in the UserCP). If you run into issues, be sure to PM Kit the Human.

We've also switched to profile applications! Pending Users can now edit all of their details. You can find out about the process here.

Jack held the pot of mirelurk stew carefully under one arm as he knocked on the door to the Spector house, hoping that he wouldn't be intruding. His dad had left early to guard the hull and wouldn't be home until late, and so Jack had dared to spend the afternoon making some food to bring over to the Spectors.

Logan would probably appreciate not having to cook right now, and it was a good excuse to get to check up on the two.

There was an uncomfortable lump of worry in his gut, and he just really hoped Ally would make a full recovery. She was the last person who deserved to have this happen to her.
Logan answered the door after a few minutes. He wanted to be drunk, but he couldn't with Ally to look after, and so he was just haggard instead. Hanging on to the doorframe, he mustered up a little smile for her best friend.

"Hey kiddo, c'mon in. Sorry about the mess and all." Standing aside showed his cluttered living room. It was as much a workspace as anything else, covered with sawdust and tools. Logan took a cloth to a table for Jack's dish, then shook out the couch cushions.

He normally took better care with sweeping it all up, but his routine lay shattered.
He returned the smile with a weak, concerned one of his own. Walking inside he didn't really mind the mess, cleaning was probably the last thing on Logan's mind right now.

"Hey, hope I'm not intruding, just..." He shrugged, holding up the pot now in both hands. "I brought this, it should be enough for a few days so you don't need to think about cooking." Jack set the pot on the table, and turned towards Logan. Now that he didn't have anything to occupy his hands Jack couldn't keep from fidgeting with the hem of his old shirt.

An old nervous habit.

"How is she?"
Reaching over, he gripped the back of Jack's neck a moment, smiling wearily. "Thanks, kiddo. You know you're always welcome here, but that means a lot. Ally's doing a little better. Did you wanna go say hi? If she's awake and all."

Logan cleared off a little space on the kitchen table for the pot of stew, feeling like it ought to look less out of place.
He returned Logan's smile with a tired one of his own. "Thanks, I wanna do what I can to help. So if there's anything I can do.." The offer was sincere as he looked Logan in the eyes.

"Yeah, if she's awake, I don't want to disturb her though." It was clear from his tone that he really wanted to see Ally, reassure himself that she was still alive.
"I'll check on her, you make yourself comfortable, OK? And you know, Jack, even with Ally hurt there's still room for you here if you need it."

Jack's asshole father was just a sad fact of life. Logan would have beat his face in if he could get away with it.
Ally was frowning in her bed. It was a frown made with pain from her weeping and raw skin. But she hovered on the cusp of waking and sleep. Eyes moving beneath their lids and lips slightly parted as she breathed.
A small pause, then: "Thank you." The words were painfully sincere, and his shoulders lowered slightly as if a burden had been lifted off them. He wanted to move out of where he lived with his dad, but the problem was there weren't any unoccupied buildings or rooms at the moment that he could buy or rent.

He could always live outside, he sometimes slept in a few of his hide-outs when things got too bad and he didn't want to disturb the Spector's.

He shook those thoughts away and instead gave Logan a small smile and sat down in a chair.
Tired, he smiled. "Be right back." The door to Ally's room creaked, its hinges needed oiling. A chair sat ready beside her bed, Logan too afraid of jostling her to sit any closer.

"Hey kiddo," he murmured, "are you awake?" Careful, quiet, he lowered himself into his chair. Logan forced himself to look at her, all her blistered skin.
Logan's immediate answer was a grumbling groan and she shifted, rolling away from him and then jolting awake as her burns hissed with pain.

"Ooow." Ally rolled back onto her back and looked at her dad. He looked so worried, she felt her lip tremble. Ally bit her lip and then winced that too, hurt.

"Hi," she tried to smile for him.
