Welcome to Far Harbor
Far Harbor is a 18+ RPG that features loose stats, perks (and the ability to gain more) and a profile application. Don't worry if your knowledge of Fallout isn't extensive! Our docs cover the most important points and we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about the world.

On Far Harbor, we like to focus on the oddness of a post-apocalyptic future where technology is as diverse as having synthetic life and guns made of wood pailings. Ghouls, super mutants, humans and synths all have a place in The Island. If you're looking for a place to explore a world blasted by radiation

. . . welcome home
Feburary 2277
Super mutants have been discovered on The Island after a disasterous expedition to find somewhere for the ghouls to establish an indepedent settlement. Meanwhile, Far Harbor was attacked by anglers, injuring many and placing additional strain upon the town's only physician.

I have installed the new "Pipboy" theme! It introduces the ability to display what items your character commonly carries (change this in the UserCP). If you run into issues, be sure to PM Kit the Human.

We've also switched to profile applications! Pending Users can now edit all of their details. You can find out about the process here.

We've relaxed out content rules! We're now rated, anything goes.

Human development was erratic and illogical, or the logic defied his ability to grasp it. If humans were like trees, they could be chopped down for firewood. No. They were sticky and red inside - recalling the fact made him slightly ill.

"Maybe I'm not anyone," he murmured. "Maybe there used to be a human that looked like me and I'm just the newest model of him. They make other units like that, ones based on humans."

Maybe it was why he only remembered white walls splashed with green. The green rustled, teased by invisible hands.

"We'd have to go back to the Institute to find out, wouldn't we?"
"You are someone. You are Sigma." Phi said this without a hint of doubt. Even if Sigma was a copy, he was himself and someone a human could never be.
He leaned back against Phi, trusting he'd stand firm and solid behind him. Phi wasn't even that much taller, Sigma could feel his hair catch in the stubble on his chin when his head moved.

"I can't remember why I'm called Sigma anymore. The new synths, they have designations, right? Is a better to have a name? Like a human."
Phi did hold Sigma up as he looked at the trees. The leaves rustled nervously.

"I do not know. Do you desire a designation?"
"Not from the Institute." Wind whipped up suddenly, shaking the tree branches in a dry clatter. It was cool against the side of his face and reminded him of rain. The sound of rain on the roof overhead, how the air would reek of it.

He could lay away all night listening to it, his mind adrift. "I think I like the name Sigma. I wish I remembered where it came from. Do you like being called Phi?"
"I like my name," Phi said. "No one else has my name. It is mine." He shifted his hand so that he could finger comb Sigma's hair. It stuck up between his fingers. Hair was an interesting thing. Phi did not understand it's purpose nor did he understand the feeling of it. It was unique from everything else he had touched.

"I am glad that you like your name. Are you happy in this moment?"
"This moment? Yes." Daytrippers wore off quickly. He didn't feel his heart racing in his chest, or like his hands might pull him down to the ground like lumps of lead.

As it burnt off, he was left relaxed, happy to be with Phi.

"Yes. Right now, I am," he repeated.
